The ice-cream tub was placed proudly on the table, between all the CAFOD supporters meeting Maggie and Louise in The McGuinness Centre for their very first “Coffee with CAFOD” morning. Patrick Doyle, CAFOD supporter from Our Lady of Perpetual Succour parish, Bulwell, Nottingham had just popped next door after Mass to meet us. The ice-cream tub? It was full of loose change which Patrick asks all visitors to his house to contribute to for CAFOD, even the gas repair man! £21 had been raised by Patrick in this simple way. Maggie and Louise are looking forward to catching up with many more people and their stories on their monthly coffee mornings. The next one is Monday 18th January, 9 — 11. Open to all parishes in Nottingham. Why not come along and meet us and get bang up to date with CAFOD’s work overseas, and the simple ways that you could help? You don’t need to bring money! Or ice-cream! See you there!
