An alternative view of the World Cup – 4


Despite Brazilian Government promised that no public money will be used to fund the World Cup, more than 90% of the cost will come from public funding, paid by Brazilian taxpayers.

Brazil has around 40 million people living in poverty, and of these 16 million people are living in extreme poverty.

Brazil desperately needs thousands of schools, creches, hospitals, public transport, and homes for its people.
