From Friday 4th until Sunday 6th September, CAFOD held their National Campaigns Retreat at Launde Abbey, Leicestershire.
The weekend event which was facilitated by Liam Hayes of the spirituality team had a number of workshop sessions and time for prayer, reflection and meditation.
Jack Tunnecliff, Diocesan Officer for CAFOD Nottingham shared stories of his experiences from Bangladesh on Saturday morning through the morning liturgy, then worked with campaigners in the evening by putting together another liturgy.
It was great to meet so many dedicated campaigners; people who had been working for justice and peace issues long before I was even born!
A lot of emphasis was placed on the Wave climate march around London in December and what we can do to enthuse and encourage our respective communities to come along and support the cause.
